Sheinelle Jones took to Instagram to address her recent absence from the Today show, revealing that she is taking time off to deal with a family health matter. Jones expressed gratitude for the support of her Today show family and viewers, assuring them that she will return soon.
“Hi everybody … I sincerely appreciate all of you who have reached out while I’ve been absent from the show,” Jones, 46, wrote in an Instagram message on Wednesday, January 15. “I want to share with you that I’m taking time to deal with a family health matter.”
Craig Melvin chimed in by stating: “Sheinelle, we all love you and we are so looking forward to having you back.” A second user wrote underneath the post that they “came to her page curious of the same with her not there today. I hope all is okay,” while another commented, “Your fans are missing you. I hope all is well and we will see you next week back on Today. You are very loved by viewers ❤️ ♥️ ❤️.”
