Shedd Aquarium ’s rotunda has reopened as the 'Wonder of Water' exhibit, featuring live corals, lush plants and a colorful array of fish. The rotunda, which was closed for two years, now houses two 28,000-gallon ecosystems: a freshwater habitat and a marine reef ecosystem. Visitors can observe the evolution of the reef as it grows before their eyes.
Interactive features include a periscope for close-up views of animals, tactile displays simulating fish textures, and a salt-tasting cart that demonstrates the varying salinity levels in the building
