She Came To Me hits theaters October 6th.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT She Came To Me tells the story of a composer who is struggling with a creative block until he meets a woman who turns his life upside down. His therapist-turned-wife is dealing with her own changes when it comes to her wants and needs, which creates a gap between them. The film stars Peter Dinklage as the composer, Steven, Anne Hathaway as his wife, Patricia, and Marisa Tomei as Katrina, his muse.

Rebecca Miller: I had written a short story in which there was a writer who was blocked and encounters a woman who turns his world upside down. And then I thought, well, what could be more interesting? I became interested in opera because one of my kids is studying music. I got more and more interested in opera, so I thought, what would it be like if he's a contemporary opera composer? Then we can have operas in the movie.

Rebecca Miller: I started with a short story, but I had always had this idea of two young people who were teenagers, who were love, and this of this second story. Then the story of Patricia, which is Anne Hathaway's character, and her own secret desires that don't match her life at all. It definitely evolved in a very organic way. I didn't necessarily put one foot in front of the other. This is one of the most complicated things I've ever written.
