Bijou Phillips, 43, hid behind large dark sunglasses and appeared emotional as she passed photographers on the sidewalk outside following the sentencing.
The blown kiss between the couple captured by a courtroom sketch artist was the only time he showed emotion during his sentencing hearing.
“You are pathetic, disturbed and completely violent,” she added. “The world is better off with you in prison.” The other woman said Masterson “has not shown an ounce of remorse for the pain he caused” and said he belonged behind bars for the safety of all women. The couple, married since 2011, share a 9-year-old daughter and Masterson’s lawyer said his life and his daughters will be impacted by the judge’s decision.
