Emily VanCamp’s Sharon Carter gets a new comics-accurate costume in official Marvel Cinematic Universe art promoting San Diego Comic-Con. VanCamp’s character was first introduced as Steve Rogers’ next-door neighbor in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Following the attack on Nick Fury, the “nurse” is revealed to be Sharon Carter, great-niece of Peggy Carter and a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent tasked with monitoring Captain America.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Sharon, Sam, and Bucky all fell victim to the Blip in Avengers: Infinity War. After being brought back in Avengers: Endgame, the latter pair were pardoned for their crimes in Civil War. However, when audiences saw Sharon in Disney+’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the former CIA agent was still a fugitive. Therefore, Sam promises to help her clear her name if she aids them in their quest to stop the Flag-Smashers.
In the comics, Sharon remains loyal to Nick Fury, who has been largely absent in the MCU’s Phase 4. With Samuel L. Jackson confirmed to appear in The Marvels and Secret Invasion, much could be revealed about Sharon’s loyalties ahead of her prospective appearance in Captain America 4. Agent 13’s comics-accurate costume seems to indicate her duplicity is in service of the greater good.
