San Jose Sharks sign RFA forwards Ty Dellandrea and Carl Grundstrom to two-year deals.

Ty Dellandrea #10 of the Dallas Stars moves the puck during the third period against the Vegas Golden Knights in Game Six of the Western Conference Final of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs at American Airlines Center on May 29, 2023 in Dallas, Texas. SAN JOSE — The San Jose Sharks now have at least two restricted free agents under contract, signing both Ty Dellandrea and Carl Grundstrom to two-year extensions.

“Carl brings consistent competitiveness to our lineup,” Sharks general manager Mike Grier said in a statement. “He showed that he is able to contribute not just in the offensive zone, but is also difficult to play against on the defensive end. We’re excited to add him to the organization.” Dellandrea was acquired from the Dallas Stars on June 19 for a 2025 fourth-round draft pick initially owned by the Winnipeg Jets.

A year after scoring 28 points in 82 games for the Stars, Dellandrea was a healthy scratch 40 times this past season, scoring just nine points in 42 games for a deep Dallas team that won the Central Division. He was also scratched in 13 of 19 playoff games as the Stars advanced to the Western Conference final. He averaged less than 13 minutes of ice time per game for the season.
