National Geographic’s Sharkfest is coming back on July 2nd, and one of the event’s key programs is Return of the White Shark. Each year, National Geographic devotes days of programming to the feared and often misunderstood underwater animals, featuring exciting rare footage and fascinating information from leading experts.

More About National Geographic Sharkfest 2023 Return of the White Shark is just one of a slew of programs National Geographic has in store for Sharkfest 2023. Key programming for the first night of the event includes Bull Shark Bandits, Shark Eat Shark, and Saved from a Shark. Return of the White Shark airs during the second night of the event, in between When Sharks Attack 360 and Bull Shark vs Hammerhead.
Sharks have a bad reputation thanks in part to things like Jaws’ huge impact on public perception. Although there is an element of safety that must be established and maintained whenever sharks and humans are sharing a space, shark attacks are relatively rare in general, and the animals are a key part of the ecosystem.
