The Sharks have confirmed yet another influential Springbok has put pen to paper on a new deal with the Durban outfit from next season.

A six-Test-capped international, No 8 Sikhumbuzo Notshe has signed an extension of his contract which will have him remain at Kings Park until 2024.

The former Wynberg Boys’ High prodigy initially joined the Durbanites in the 2020 season from the DHL Stormers and since arriving at The Shark Tank, Notshe has become a pivotal member of the first team.Deployed primarily from the back of the scrum, the 29-year-old is able to play across the back row and has featured prominently in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship and Champions Cup this season.

His contract extension comes on the back of the renewal by fellow Boks, flyhalf Curwin Bosch and loosehead prop Ntuthuko Mchunu, along with loose forward Phepsi Buthelezi and utility back Marnus Potgieter.
