Shane is a Movie Features Writer for Collider. He developed a strong passion for film and writing at an early age, and went on to study Writing, Communication, and Political Science at Siena College. Then, he started his still-active personal blog, Not A Real Person Yet, which focuses on movies and culture.

As an avid physical media collector, Shane spends much of his time searching the internet for Blu-Ray deals, or sifting through vinyls at his local record store. When he isn't watching films, he is probably overzealously rooting on one of his favorite sports teams, the New York Mets, Giants, and Knicks.A resident of Queens, New York, Shane is a contributing writer for the magazine Give Me Astoria, which covers the news, arts, food, and culture of Astoria and its surrounding neighborhoods. He has been covering film on notarealpersonyet.com for nearly four years.Shane is a lover of both contemporary and classic cinema. He has a deep admiration for the works of Paul Thomas Anderson, Greta Gerwig, and Martin Scorsese. He finds it difficult sticking to one answer for his all-time favorite film, but his most common Letterboxd Top Four lineup is Frances Ha, Casablanca, Goodfellas, and Almost Famous. His favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Succession, Psych, Freaks and Geeks, and The West Wing, but when he's just looking to unwind with something, he'll usually turn to The Office or New Girl. He has too many favorite musical artists to list. The only time his headphones aren't synced to one of his Spotify playlists is when he's tuned in to one of the several podcasts he listens to way too often.
