A new allegation against Perry arose Thursday night during the hearing on the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
U.S. Rep. Scott Perry’s opponent in the November election on Friday called for a criminal investigation related to his role in the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Perry, a Republican from York County, is a close ally of Trump and communicated with Trump and his staff as the former president made unfounded claims of a stolen election and allegedly plotted to stay in office. In a written statement, Daniels said Perry, who is a veteran, has violated oaths to uphold the U.S. Constitution and defend the country against all foreign and domestic enemies.
