Persistence paid off on several fronts in 2024.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources awarded the city a $310,000 grant, good for 75 percent of the cost of completing the Lower Shaker Lake multipurpose trail along South Park Boulevard to keep parkgoers from walking, jogging, biking and otherwise wheeling out in the street.SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio -- In a year-end review highlighting various accomplishments in 2024, Mayor David Weiss cited ongoing collaboration with regional partners to increase efficiency and reduce costs to taxpayers.
