The action surrounding the suspension of Putatan MP Datuk Shahelmey Yahya from Umno has been handled internally, said Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
He said this when asked about Shahelmey, who said he has yet to receive an official letter from Umno on his six-year suspension from the party."Even though his membership automatically expires, in the spirit of the Unity Government, we take action internally," said Ahmad Zahid. "For him , at the national level, he is still a member of parliament of the Unity Government.
