Deputy mayor Cheremi Tarman said MBSA had obtained feedback through questionnaires and surveys on how to establish a woman-friendly city.
Deputy mayor Cheremi Tarman said it would encompass elements like safety, health, environmental sustainability and empowerment.“Some ideas include establishing women-only parking in certain areas and a recreation area just for women,” he told StarMetro after chairing the full board meeting.
A focus group discussion will also be held on July 26 to further gauge implementation of this initiative. On another matter, he said the MBSA Planning Department had commenced the sale of the Local Draft Plan 2035 ebook that included latest amendments and improvements.The ebook can be purchased on the myMBSA app by clicking the ‘“myshop” icon.
“This was to complement upgrading work by the Drainage and Irrigation Department along Sungai Damansara.”
