KOTA KINABALU: Measures taken in Sabah to check the spread of Covid-19 are seeing positive results, says Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.
He said the state is faring well so far in ensuring that the infectious virus did not spread, due to various measures under the movement control order .
He said that Tawau remained a red zone with Kota Kinabalu and Lahad Datu remaining slightly high with positive Covid-19 cases but the number of new positive cases was not alarming. As of Tuesday, Sabah recorded 280 Covid-19 cases and four deaths that included an unidentified man who hanged himself at Pulau Gaya for unknown reasons.
He added that the state’s cash assistance has started to be banked into the accounts of those eligible for such aid.
