Bedard, who is expected to be the No. 1 player chosen in the 2023 National Hockey League Entry Draft, welcomes the match-up with the provincial rival Blades.
With three games between the two provincial rivals in March, Blades head coach Brennan Sonne expects more of the same when the playoffs begin this weekend with games Friday and Sunday in Saskatoon.Article content“Same players, same team, same place added pressure — that’s the difference,” said Sonne. “It’s mostly mental. There will be adjustments here and there. They’ll make adjustments; we’ll make adjustments.
“We’ve done that all year,” said Sonne, whose Blades posted a third-best winning percentage in franchise history thanks to a 48-15-4-1 record and a fourth-best 101 points in the league this season.Article content
