The Saskatchewan Health Authority did not specify what triggered the memo going out, saying it was a method to share best practices.

“It’s a good reminder to folks because we’re in the day of people texting when they’re getting off shift and stuff like that. Everybody does that pretty much when they’re walking,” said Anderson. He added that people should keep their heads up while coming to or leaving work. “One of the best precautions you can have is being intuitive and ensuring that you’re not walking by somebody that looks sketchy or something. Keep yourself as safe as possible,” he said.
In Regina, the Saskatchewan government is looking for, at minimum, 566 more parking stalls at the Regina General Hospital by way of a parkade.
