Kampung Lanchong Jaya , Taman Alam Indah and Kampung Baru Hicom are among areas in Shah Alam badly affected by major floods in December 2021, which led to the evacuation of a large number of residents. Saribanon, who is also Residents Representative Council Zone 10 chairman, said the bunds constructed were strong and have been able to hold back high volumes of water,” she said.
Saribanon said this during MPP Zone 10 Raya open house at MBSA Kenanga Multipurpose Hall in Section 28, Shah Alam.MBSA Community Development Department director Mohd Azhar Mohd Sharif said: “We must encourage events like this to strengthen the bond among all races.”
