Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Selection Fencing Championships organised by Sabah Fencing Association (SFA) was successfully held over the weekend after a four-year-lapse.

SFA secretary general Raymond Chan said they are thrilled to have the championship held after the long absence due to the pandemic. “It also served as a crucial preparation for the Malaysian Games next year as we are committed to ensuring that our fencers are well prepared, and this event also provided a platform for nurturing and training athletes to international standards, marking the next step in Sabah fencing development,” he said.He also said during the long break, the association did not rest on their laurels and continued their development programme.
