San Francisco ’s GLBT Historical Society Museum and Archive could soon have a permanent home in The City for the first time in its 40-year existence.

Breed said in a statement that the Castro neighborhood “is the heart of LGBTQ culture in this City and this country” and that the Market Street location “is the perfect place for a museum that will preserve and celebrate LGBTQ history, culture and arts for generations to come.”
