Nearly 50,000 SFUSD students across more than 120 schools returned from summer
San Francisco’s 121 public-schools welcomed students back from summer break Monday.
The renovation was extensive and took three years, Lambert-Campbell said. During that period, the school’s classes were taught in bungalows at Marina Middle School.The district paid for the $24.5 million revamp with money from its 2016 bond program. The reopening of the school comes as the district is preparing to ask voters to approve another bond program that’s also targeted at facilities upgrades.
