Two teenage boys were arrested Wednesday night in connection with a fatal shooting, officials said.
Two teenage boys — ages 14 and 15 — were arrested Wednesday night in connection with a fatal shooting of a security guard in San Francisco's Japantown neighborhood, officials said.
The shooting occurred just after 5 p.m. on Webster Street at Post Street near the Japan Center Malls, the San Francisco Police Department said. At the scene, officers found the male security guard with a gunshot wound and rendered aid and called medics to the scene. The life-saving measures failed, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the investigation following the shooting, police identified the two teenage boys as suspects, SFPD said. The 15-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder, while the 14-year-old was arrested on suspicion of accessory to murder. Anyone with information regarding this investigation can call SFPD's tip line at 575-4444, or they can text a tip to TIP411 and begin the text message with SFPD. You may remain anonymous.
