A San Antonio police lieutenant was suspended for 30 days after officials concluded that he made lewd comments about a fellow department employee, suspension records show. Officials said that Lt. Christopher Johnson made explicit comments about hypothetically engaging in sexual intercourse with another San Antonio Police Department sergeant.Johnson’s comments — uttered Oct. 17, 2021, while talking with two sergeants and another officer at Public Safety Headquarters — constituted sexual harassment against the sergeant who was under his command, suspension records said.

On Sept. 18, 2021, Lesh was called to a major crash involving the driver. Lesh’s body camera showed that the driver had slurred speech and appeared to be impaired, the suspension records state. Lesh spoke with the driver’s family and made statements that indicated he believed there were signs of impairment, but he said he wasn’t “pushing” the matter, the records said. Lesh allowed the driver’s family take him home, and several hours later officers were called to the home after the man was involved in a family disturbance that stemmed from his intoxication.Officials said Lesh neglected his duty, acted incompetently and lacked good moral character.
