Three major roadways in Alabama were blocked due to debris and fallen trees caused by severe weather. Highway 59, 84, and 21 were initially closed as crews assessed the damage and cleared the roadways. FOX 10 witnessed crews clearing Highway 84, where a car crash occurred after a driver encountered fallen trees and a utility pole. Despite the damage, the driver escaped unharmed. EMA Director Roy Waite reported some structure damage, including a collapsed house on Highway 84, but thankfully no injuries have been reported.

FOX 10 witnessed crews clearing Highway 84 about 5 miles east of Highway 69. It was there -- several trees and a utility pole were in the roadway. Kenneth Kilpatrick was traveling from Dallas Wednesday and said when he got into Alabama -- he started receiving tornado warnings on his phone -- eventually crashing into the trees and pole in the middle of the roadway. He was unscathed but his vehicle had some damage to the front. He was waiting for a tow truck -- but considered himself extremely lucky. Meanwhile, Waite said they had received a few reports of structure damage -- including a house that collapsed on Highway 84.
