Got plans this weekend? Severe thunderstorms are set to move through Puget Sound, so you may need to adjust.

Once the thunderstorms get started on Saturday, they will include heavy downpours, hail, gusty winds and plentiful, dangerous lightning.

It's not often that the Pacific Northwest gets the attention of the National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center, normally they are focused on much more dynamic weather in Oklahoma or Kansas, but they have made the PNW the focus for their severe weather concerns on Saturday. 8-10 p.m.: thunderstorms curl into King and Kitsap counties, booming over the center of the metro area with dozens if not hundreds of lightning strikes between Hood Canal and Snoqualmie Summit
