A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for South and Central Jersey on Monday evening, as forecasters predict the storms will continue on the Forth of July holiday. The warning lasts until 10 p.m. and also affects parts of Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland, the National Weather Service said. Meteorologists have also warned of lightning, hail and wind gusts up to 75 mph.It is expected to be party sunny early in the day on the Fourth of July, with a highs around 85 degrees, the weather service said. Thunderstorms are likely after 2 p.m., with some of the storms expected to produce heavy rain and gusty winds.
