Severe Thunderstorm Warnings issued for parts of Illinois, Indiana
CHICAGO — Prepare for a steamy and stormy day in Chicago with feels like temps in triple digits. Some areas in Illinois and Indiana are experiencing Severe Thunderstorm warnings throughout the morning. A storm cluster from LaCrosse, Wisconsin, may hold together and head towards Chicago .A weather alert is in place for heat and storm threats. On Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Will County, Illinois, that lasted until 9:30 a.m.
with wind gusts of up to 60 mph. Storms are moving southeast at 45 mph. A Flood Watch is also in effect until 1 p.m.Midday breaks from rain as the heat builds into the 90s again. The heat index is in the upper 90s, near 100 degrees. There is a storm threat this evening, with all hazards possible.
