Southern Adams County is the county to be part of a severe thunderstorm warning until 5:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service at State College.Radar indicated there was a severe thunderstorm located over Emmitsburg moving northeast at 25 mph. Wind gusts up to 60 mph and quarter size hail are expected.
Locations where vehicle and property damage are possible include: Hanover, Gettysburg, Hampton, Littlestown, Carroll Valley, McSherrystown, Bonneauville, New Oxford, East Berlin, Lake Heritage, Orrtanna and Abbottstown. These following mid-state counties are included in a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 p.m.: Adams, Lancaster, and York.
