North Texas will have severe storms tonight and into Thursday. A cold front rolling in over the weekend will bring cold weather.
Parts of North Texas can expect severe storms Wednesday, ranging from heavy rainfall and gusty winds, to small hail.
The NWS climate site at the DFW International Airport recorded 0.65 inches of rain Monday and 1.08 inches Tuesday, for a weekly total of 1.73 inches. Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport wasn’t far behind, recording 0.83 inches Monday and 0.88 inches Tuesday for a total of 1.71 inches. A wet day and night is in store for the region with scattered to numerous showers & storms. 2 to 4 inches of rain is possible, mainly west of I-35 where a Flood Watch is in effect. A few severe storms are also possible with hail and gusty winds.After Wednesday’s severe weather passes, North Texas can expect a calmer Thursday and Friday, with a few moderate rain showers.
