The National Weather Service is predicting damaging winds and hail Friday night.A front moving into the Hill Country and San Antonio area overnight is bringing with it a slight chance of severe storms, the National Weather Service said Saturday.

Showers and scattered storms are expected to hit most of Central Texas. “Isolated strong to severe storms” could occur along the Interstate 35 corridor and in portions of the Hill Country and coastal plains, although the risk is marginal, the weather service said. The San Antonio area can expect between a quarter- and half-inch of rain tonight, while portions of Comal and Hays counties are forecast to get between 1 and 1½ inches.Texas state parks are popular destinations. Here are the best times to beat the crowds.The front is coming in from the north. It’s expected to reach the Hill Country about 10 p.m. and then along the I-35 corridor from midnight to 4 a.m.
