Drivers on Route 56 stopped to look at the destruction left behind in Jefferson County, Indiana. Several campers were destroyed in the Route 56 Campground RV Park. A barn was also leveled by the storm. Witnesses describe seeing multiple tornado-like formations in the area.

(WKRC)- Drivers on Route 56 stopped to look at the destruction left behind in Jefferson County , Indiana . The debris field from Thursday's storms had pieces of lumber that were snapped like pencils. In the Route 56 Campground RV Park, several campers were destroyed.
Across the highway, Mike Gray tried to see what was salvageable from a barn he'd been renting. It ended up being leveled by the storm.We heard the roar and saw the debris in the air, and we went to the basement," Gray said. Gray said that when he looked out, he didn't see the typical, single, cone-shaped tornado touching down. "We live in a valley here and when you looked straight up, the whole valley was turning in a circle and there were "tails" coming down. Sometimes three at a time, sometimes two at a time, they would last a few seconds and then go back up," Gray said. Luckily, their home was spared some damage, but others in the area weren't so luck
