Several students at an Edina middle school became ill after attempting the “One Chip Challenge,” a popular TikTok trend, on Thursday, according to reports.
In the challenge, people eat a tortilla chip made with immensely hot Carolina reaper peppers and scorpion peppers. Then, they wait as long as possible before eating or drinking. The trend has become popular on TikTok and YouTube.reported no students had allergic reactions or sustained any injuries after attempting the challenge.
The district also confirmed students who brought the chips to school were disciplined and if anyone brings them in the future they will also be disciplined, according to the
