Radiant Plumbing makes it on 'Last Week Tonight with John Oliver' - KRLD NewsA plumbing company in Austin gets flooded with calls after it got featured on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Oliver found some of the ads that Radiant Plumbing has been doing for years. And he says he is a huge fan of those commercials Radiant Plumbing is well known in Austin for the local movie-themed commercials that it has on local television and radio. . Oliver has challenged Radiant to film a commercial about an unknown movie in a gold envelope. If they agree, Oliver says he will donate $10,000 to the Central Texas Food Bank. We're joined by the founder of Radiant Plumbing Brad Casebier in Austin. He is in the KRLD Zoom Room for his first media interview.

Methodist Dallas shooting could lead to changes in state law - KRLD NewsA Texas lawmaker has proposed several measures that would aim to increase safety at hospitals as a result of the shooting at Methodist Dallas last year. In October, police say a man assaulted his girlfriend and killed two hospital employees. The suspect, Nestor Hernandez, was on parole for aggravated robbery and had previously been convicted in two other cases. He has been charged with capital murder, family violence, aggravated assault on a public servant and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
