Eldora reported 30 inches of snow overnight, and there have been snow slides on the access road to the area.
Eldora’s snow stake is struggling to keep up with all the snow from the storm that continues to dump snow on Colorado. The ski area is one of several that are closed today. Eldora, Loveland, Arapahoe Basin and Echo Mountain ski areas all announced that they will remain closed Thursday due to the“The county plow and grader have not been able to penetrate the snow slides across Shelf Road yet, and there is a day’s worth of work to do to prepare the mountain to open,” according to the website.
