Police departments, sheriff’s departments, and WSP will be ramping up DUI patrols from Friday evening into early Saturday.

Several law enforcement agencies across western Washington are teaming up Friday night for the 2022 “Night of 1000 Stars” DUI patrols.

Police departments, sheriff’s departments, and the Washington State Patrol will be ramping up DUI patrols from Friday evening into early Saturday. The Night of 1000 Stars “represents 1,000 badges working across Washington taking impaired drivers off the roadway,” the Tacoma and Marysville police departments said on Twitter.

According to Marysville PD, the Snohomish County Night of 1000 Stars emphasis patrols will run from 7 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday. Police departments in Edmonds, Lynnwood, Brier, Lake Stevens and Mountlake Terrace will be participating, along with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, WSP and the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board.

Holiday DUI patrols start today and run through New Year's. We know most people choose to drive sober, but we are concerned about those that choose to drive impaired.
