PARMA, Ohio -- The recent drama involving the Parma City Schools and an Ohio Facilities Construction Commission waiver has yet another wrinkle.
“Everything I wrote was factual -- that the waiver program is available to every single property that Parma City Schools own,” said Biasiotta, a 1987 Parma High School graduate. “OFCC gets their direction from the district. Biasiotta actually agreed, noting that the OFCC official said the cost difference between renovating Parma High School and rebuilding was very similar -- in the $140 million range.
Altogether, the district’s schools were built to house 25,000 students; current enrollment is only 9,100 pupils.
