It’s no secret that Seton Hall is not able to compete with the top schools in the Big East -- to say nothing of the top programs nationally -- on the NIL front. Hunter Dickinson, the No. 1 transfer in the portal andwas offered $2 million annually to play at Kansas, per sources, and chose the Jayhawks over Kentucky, Villanova, Maryland and Georgetown upon his transfer from Michigan.
“I didn’t leave because of money, I just wanted to have a different opportunity, a different role and get to the Tournament.”“It’s not a bad thing but sometimes some guys are making their decisions based off that,” Bediako said. “Some guys are only going because a school is giving them X amount of money.”
He added: “I feel like here, we’re not really worried about NIL as much. We know that when we win and we play good, things will take care of itself.”—Freshmen Malachi Brown And Isaiah Coleman have groin injuries. Holloway also said freshman David Tubek was “coming back off an injury.”
