JAPAN’s men’s singles star Kodai Naraoka is out to crown his tireless run with the title today.

World No. 7 Naraoka survived a marathon 113-minute battle against Thailand’s world No. 9 Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the semi-finals, prevailing 21-17, 19-21, 21-17 at the Axiata Arena to reach his first World Tour Super 1000 tournament.

“I really wanted to win the match today , so I pushed myself until the end. I feel so happy to reach my biggest tournament final. I will go all out to win the title tomorrow ,” said Naraoka. “Naraoka’s stamina was better than mine. I also made some easy mistakes in the end and this cost me,” lamented Kunlavut.

Watanabe-Higashino beat Thailand’s Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Sapsiree Taerattanachai 21-18, 21-15 in the other semi-final encounter.
