A memorial service is planned for a man whose death after a confrontation with officers during a traffic stop led to protests

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — — A memorial service was planned Tuesday for Tyre Nichols, whoseA service for Nichols, 29, was set for noon in Memphis, WMC-TV reported.
“It’s just a nightmare,” said Nichols’ sister Keyana Dixson. “I just want justice for my brother. Please.” Relatives have accused police of beating him and causing him to have a heart attack. Authorities have said Nichols, who was Black, experienced a medical emergency. Memphis Police Chief CJ Davis said Sunday that the department was serving notice to the officers involved concerning policy violations.
