A 37-year-old man was arrested by police after a 55-year-old man was stabbed at service centre in Haymarket

A Service NSW worker has been stabbed multiple times at a service centre in centralThe 55-year-old was stabbed in the lower back, chest and shoulder in Haymarket shortly after 9am on Friday.

Police were called to the Service NSW building on Rawson Place and helped the man until paramedics arrived.A 37-year-old man was arrested and taken to the Day Street police station. “There is no ongoing risk to the public as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident,” a police spokesperson said.
