A car was caught on camera going airborne Wednesday afternoon at a York City intersection after the driver fell asleep at the wheel.
Camera footage showed the car going west down East Market Street at the time. The passenger, who grabbed the wheel from the sleeping driver, steered them away from driving toward oncoming cars on a one-way street. “It was a quick and hitting noise, I heard," said Jin Jou Meighen, the owner of the boutique. “It's very surprising. It shouldn’t have come this close.”
Meighen said this isn't the first time a car has landed on her property due to the confusion caused by East Market Street, which starts as a two-way street going westbound and quickly turns into a "Do Not Enter" one-way street.In fact, it isn't even the second, third or fourth time this has happened.
