The Mkobola Regional Court in Kwaggafontein, Mpumalanga, has sentenced a taxi driver, who committed a series of sexual crimes to 37 years imprisonment.

During the trial, he pleaded not guilty to all the charges. He told the court that the victims were his girlfriends and he never had sexual contact with the first one who was 15 years old at the time but conceded sleeping with the second one who was 24 at the time.

The Prosecution said in light with the fact that a taxi driver should be someone with a good reputation and also one who must protect lives of commuters making use of his services on daily basis.
