Komplizen's Berlin-based trio of Maren Ade, Janine Jackowski, and Jonas Dornbach will be honored at the European Film Awards in January.
The production trio behind Berlin-based producers Komplizen Film — Maren Ade, Jonas Dornbach, and Janine Jackowski — whose award-winning filmography includes such acclaimed arthouse features asCo-founded by Ade and Jakowski in 1999, Komplizen produced Ade’s films as a director, starting with her 2003 debut.
The company is a co-founder member of The Creatives, a federation of 10 independent production companies set up to facilitate the development and co-production of independent arthouse films and series. Dornbach, who joined Komplizen Film in 2010, has been a driving force in the company’s international co-production operation. Ade, Dornbach and Jackowski will receive the honor in person at the European Film Awards ceremony in Berlin on January 17, 2026.
