Aliou Cisse has said the team he picks for the Lions of Teranga's first AFCON clash on Monday will fight for those unavailable for the fixture after it was reported that nine players are missing through Covid.
While six players - Alfred Gomis, Saliou Ciss, Bamba Dieng, Mame Baba Thiam, Pape Matar Sarr and Nampalys Mendy - have still not travelled to Cameroon after returning positive tests, Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly and Famara Diedhiou have also since contracted the virus. "We are going to be competitive and those there are going to play for those who are absent. We are still going into the game against Zimbabwe full of confidence.
