House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has yet to transmit the official paperwork to the Senate, after the House of Representatives impeached Donald Trump on Wednesday for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, making him only the third president in American history to be charged with such crimes."We assume at some point they'll send it over, but they seem to be sitting on it for the time being," Thune said while walking through Reagan National Airport on Thursday.

Pelosi told reporters on Thursday that the House would wait to deliver the articles until the Senate had laid out the rules for the trial.
