Another Republican, North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis had reportedly raised some concerns among the GOP that he would vote no. But Tillis ultimately voted to confirm Hegseth after speaking to him "nearly two hours" about his concerns, the Associated Press reports. The Thursday vote set a 30-hour clock on debate ahead of Friday evening's final vote as senators went back and forth over the nomination.
