Sen. John Fetterman , D-Pa., on Thursday took a strong stance against Democratic Party campaign messaging and accused the party of condescending its base.
“I think primary currency was shaming and scolding and talking down to people and telling them, ‘Hey, I know better than you,’ or you’re dopes, or you’re a bro, or you’re ignorant or, ‘how can you be this dumb? I can’t imagine it,’” he said. “And then, by the way, they’re fascists. How can you vote for that?”
Sen. Fetterman, whose home state is considered a swing state, has increasingly voiced criticism of Democratic Party leaders. The senator in November condemned Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., over her rumored involvement in former President Joe Biden’s exit from the presidential election.
