Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman on Thursday condemned protesters in Philadelphia who said they would cheer when U.S. soldiers came back in caskets.

The Department of Homeland Security has faced criticism over law enforcement tactics targeting undocumented immigrants and the killing of two U.S. citizens in Minneapolis. “Here in Philadelphia,” Fetterman wrote on X. “Truly appalling. These assholes chanting for the death of our service members. Where’s the Dem outrage and condemnation?” Attached is a video of protesters in Philadelphia. One protester said into a microphone, “For every U.S. Soldier who comes back in casket, we cheer.”Fetterman has been one of the Democrats He was one of the only Democrats to support Sen. Markwayne Mullin as Homeland Security secretary earlier this week.“Oh, we don’t, we don’t have one,” Fetterman said when asked if Democrats have a leader. “I think, I think the TDS that — I think that’s the leader right now.
