The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited a Selma brick manufacturer for exposing workers to respiratory hazards on the job.Safety investigators say they found the company exposed workers to airborne silica crystalline hazards. The exposure could cause multiple diseases that can lead to disability and even death.
The company has 15 business days from receipt of the citations and penalties to comply, request a formal conference with OSHA or contest the findings.
