Selena Gomez breaks down crying on TV over actress Miranda Hart’s mental health story
On Friday’s episode, the British comedian, 51, revealed that Gomez’s “My Mind & Me” docuseries is what inspired her to share her own health journey.“When I saw your documentary on Apple your illness struggles, I was thinking, ‘Do I share?’ You know, ‘Is this something I should do?’ Because it feels quite vulnerable,” Hart told Gomez, whose doc from 2022 shared her diagnosis of bipolar disorder and her life with lupus.
The singer’s “Emilia Pérez” co-star Zoe Saldaña and “Doctor Who” actor Ncuti Gatwa also appeared on the talk show and became emotional by Hart’s confession. “I was backstage at the BBC, you know, trying to go on, not knowing whether to go on,” Hart said. “It’s amazing and I think she’s incredible.”“Basically, I have had an unexpectedly difficult decade — there have been surprising joys, but also deep revelations and challenging lows,” the description reads. “I shall be honest about those, because what I discovered in the difficult times were my, what I call, treasures.
