It’s official: Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are engaged! “Forever begins now,” Gomez wrote as she announced their news via an Instagram carousel on December 11, with her engagement ring front and center. In the comments, Blanco responded: “Hey wait…that’s my wife.” The Instagram announcement cycles through a selection of photos, starting with a close-up of Gomez’s engagement ring, a marquise-shaped diamond stone set on a pavé band.
And just last week, she picked up the Spotlight award at the Indiewire Honors for her film. The couple recently spent Thanksgiving together, where Blanco cooked for 50 people. They’ve been a fixture together at events and awards shows, date nights, and for Halloween, they went as Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter. Speaking previously to Vanity Fair, Gomez said she and the producer felt no pressure to marry.
